Emirates brings the A350 to Orlando: new cabins on the daily flight to Dubai

From 1 November 2026 Emirates flies its Airbus A350 daily between Dubai and Orlando, the first US route for the type, with 32 Business Class seats, 28 in Premium Economy and 238 in Economy.

Orlando is known for its theme parks, but it is also the gateway to Central Florida, a drive away from the palm-lined Atlantic coast. Emirates is giving that gateway a new aircraft: from 1 November 2026 the airline flies its Airbus A350 daily between Dubai and Orlando. It is the first time Emirates puts the A350 on scheduled services to the United States.

The A350 replaces the Boeing 777 that has flown the route since Emirates launched its Florida service in 2015. For me the route connects two places on my map: Florida’s palm coast on one side, Dubai and its winter sun on the other.

Three cabins on board

The Emirates A350 has three cabin classes: 32 Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 layout, 28 Premium Economy seats with generous legroom and elevated dining, and 238 seats in Economy. According to Emirates, the aircraft carries the airline’s latest cabin interiors, technology and innovations.

The timetable

The flight numbers are EK219 and EK220, and all times are local. EK219 leaves Dubai at 03:05 and lands in Orlando at 10:20. EK220 leaves Orlando at 20:20 and arrives in Dubai at 19:10 the following day.

Matthew Jones, Emirates Vice President USA, is clearly pleased with the step: “We are extremely delighted to roll out elevated experiences for our customers in the US.”

Premium Economy in detail

The Orlando debut is the next step in the airline’s Premium Economy rollout. Emirates designed the cabin for travellers who want more space and comfort on a long flight. Each 19.5-inch seat has generous legroom and recline, a six-way adjustable headrest, a footrest, in-seat charging, a wood-finished side cocktail table and a 13.3-inch screen for the entertainment system, which offers more than 6,500 channels in many languages.

The dining begins with a welcome drink in fine glassware. Meals are prepared with seasonal ingredients, served on Royal Doulton china and paired with an extended choice of drinks. There are sustainable amenity kits, blankets and generously sized pillows designed for the cabin, plus priority boarding and a dedicated Premium Economy check-in area at Dubai International airport.

Onward from Dubai

Premium Economy is available to Dubai and onward to more than 90 destinations in the Emirates network where the product is offered, including West Asia, the Far East, Australasia and the Indian Ocean islands. That last group is where my own map is busiest, from the Maldives to the Seychelles.
