Privacy

Short version: Palmiana sets no cookies, runs no analytics, loads nothing from third party servers and does not know who you are unless you write to us.

Server logs

Our hosting provider stores the usual technical data for each request (IP address, time, page, browser) for security purposes and deletes it after a short period. We do not evaluate these logs for profiling.

Fonts, images, maps and scripts

Everything on this site is served from our own domain. No Google Fonts, no external scripts, no embedded maps or videos from third parties. The world map is drawn by our own code from public domain outlines; it never contacts a map service.

Interactive tools

The sun map, the finder, the calculators, the quiz and the sun list run in your browser. They use your device’s clock and time zone setting to show local times, and they save your entries in your own browser (local storage) so that they are still there when you come back. Nothing is sent to us. You can clear that data at any time in your browser settings or with the reset buttons in the tools. The site does not ask for your location.

Newsletter and contact form

If you subscribe to Postcards from Palmiana or write to us, we store your email address and message to answer you and, for the newsletter, to send it to you until you unsubscribe. Every issue contains an unsubscribe link. We do not share your address.

Your rights

You can ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its use. Write to the address above. You may also complain to a data protection authority.
